Tall Cypress in Provence is an original watercolor and pastel artwork, signed by the artist, is painted on 140pd cold press watercolor paper collection and sold unframed.

If anything is obvious in my current painting style it is that I've spent a lot of time admiring Claude Monet. This small watercolor and pastel is a reflection on one of his famed works recently seen at MFA Boston and painted in Vetheuil in 1881. I mix my pastel pigments in, and with, a watercolor wash for a Monet “effect”... his atmospheric renderings will never be equaled but we can have fun trying! This small work is a gem!
