Collection Vase (medium inverted)

My work is made from English grolleg porcelain, considered collection by most to be the finest and admired for its translucency and pure whiteness.

Each piece is thrown on the potters wheel, dried slightly, and then individually hand-carved, using a pencil, tiny knives and dental type tools.

At no time are molds or patterns used, making them each a unique,"one-of-a-kind" piece.

Each one is slowly dried and first fired to 2000°F. They are glazed with underglazes, stains & oxides and a clear gloss and then fired to 2250° to 2300°F. At this temperature, the porcelain becomes vitrified and will no longer absorb water, even when left unglazed.

Each piece is signed, dated and copyrighted by me.

Bright hues of green and blue flowers & leaves adorn this vase with a frog. The Bible verse states, "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."
