Gangster Era collection Cream Summer Weight Linen Newsboy Cap, Imperial, ca 1930s

This period authentic cap is in very good vintage condition: I can find no flaws other than age appropriate spotting; some, if not all of this may come collection out with a soaking - but please do remove the beautiful silk interior label prior to soaking so as to preserve it! The cap's interior circumference has been made larger by a professional - please refer to photos #5 and #6 to note the gusset sewn in on each side of the back. Please note the 7 vent holes in the brim.

The cap sports a self-covered button on the top and has a 2" brim with a snap. The circumference of the opening is approximately 21".

How Al Capone would have coveted this cap ... and what a wonderful example of 1930s men's hat style at its best! This cap would certainly enhance - or be the focal point of - your contemporary or vintage ensemble and would be a fantastic addition to your vintage hat collection.
