Handmade lampwork blown glass beads and sterling silver necklace.

This lovely necklace is composed of 11 artisan crafted lampwork hollow glass beads (made by me) 5/8" in diameter. The beads are linked together with sterling silver wire. All chain and components including the lobster claw are sterling silver.

Reminiscent of the bubble wands from childhood, this necklace takes me back to the carefree days of summer. While they may look as fragile as those magical soapy bubbles and feel almost as light, these hollow glass beads are surprisingly sturdy. I know because they are so smooth and round that they slip out of my fingers all the time and bounce unbroken off the floor. They are made using traditional lampwork materials but are a miniature form of glass-blowing.

This necklace is 20 inches (48.3cm) long. Every bead is made one at a time, exact size and pattern may vary slightly. Silver chain style will be collection similar but possibly not identical to the chain pictured.

Matching pendant and earrings are also available.
