Queen Nepheriti Bust. Vintage Figural Egyptian 5" Tall Sculpture Carved collection From Bakelite. 1930s. Weighs 286 grams

This is an incredible find. A good sized hunk of bakelite was carved to create this stunning Egyptian Head. collection In all of my years of collecting and hunting bakelite, I have never seen anything like this. The Egyptian motif was very popular in the Art Deco period, which continued to the mid 1930s. I am guessing that this piece dates to that time frame.
It does have some condition issues:
~~Crazing. It is heavily crazed (internal cracking). However, there are no chips at all, or wide splits. The crazing is internal and visible on the surface. You can clearly see it in the photos.

~~Paint chips. The paint is heavy, which is good. However, the effects of time have caused some of it to chip off. Again, please view the photos at full size and you will see this clearly.

~~ A cut mark in the nose. I think this may have been done during the carving process, however it is noticeable - see last photo for a close up.

That being said, it is still quite an unusual and desirable piece. It measures 5 inches tall, by 2.5" wide. It weighs a hefty 10 ounces. (286 grams)

I believe the original color was green marbled bakelite, as you can see from the bottom. It probably had felt or paper on the bottom at one time, which kept the original color longer.
