Description

Product Name: Antique Conquistador Brass Battle Shoe Stirrup c1700 Spain, Gold Decor, Hacienda Decor, collection Southwestern Decor

A great piece for display in your Spanish or Hacienda style home. This 18th Century Brass Conquistador Battle Shoe Stirrup has a nice natural patina on it. This brass battle shoe is also signed in a few places. It has makers mark of FM on the base near the toe and at the heal it is marked 35 and FF which believe is the size and width of the casting.

The rust you see in the creases of the brass mold are from the metal bolt at the top of the shoe. If you wish this to brighter some copper cleaner will get this sparkling clean. You can kind of get an idea of how bright by looking at the bottom of the shoe where the brass is peaking through. We always do a wipe down only as many of our clients want old and ancient items as we find them.

This late collection 1700s shoe measures 11" long and 3 1/2" wide across the bottom. The opening of the she is very large about 3 3/4" wide.

This is a superb early collectible that will make a nice display piece.
