French vintage green glass covered compote 1930s.

Rare lovely molded glass candy or jewelry box in a typical Art Nouveau style from the famous Portieux manufactory. Sold as a compote the name of the modele is « Renaissance » under référence 3865 from the catalogue 1894. The original had a round platter under.
The strong rare emerald green color takes vibrant accents in the light.
In near perfect condition, with tiny chips on the handle of the lid. There is a bubble trapped in the glass, at the level of the foot.

The possibilities are endless, sugar bowl, trinket dish, candy bowl....or just to admire the beautiful very green color in a sunbeam.
