Black opal ring set in black ceramic. Bevelled comfort fit. Great for everyday wear.

These gorgeous black opals are lab grown, meaning they are chemically identical to naturally mined opal but created in a way that accentuates all of their beautiful iridescence. They are set by hand in a crystal clear hard wearing resin to create a seamless look with a stealth black 8mm ceramic core.

Black tungsten carbide is ion-plated with a black coating that can wear off during heavy abrasion. Black ceramic however is coloured all the way through so no amount of abrasion will ever remove its colour! You'll find it hard to scratch though, ceramic is a 7.0 on the Mohs scale of hardness which makes this material one of the hardest materials in existence! it's lightweight too, and with a melting point of over 2000 degrees Celsius it's used in aerospace engine and exhaust systems as well as thermal shields. It is currently being used for the development of hypersonic vehicles so you can be sure this ring will shrug off any scuffs and scratches with ease.

Even with ceramic's superior resistance to everyday wear and incredible strength, emergency services carry the necessary tools to quickly and efficiently remove the ring in case of an emergency. collection

'The Kraken' is made to order, I can guarantee production and delivery within 10 working days of order if you reside in the UK. Worldwide orders are welcome but please allow extra time for your delivery to arrive from overseas. As a guide US residents can expect an average of an extra week for your item to arrive at your doorstep, I will of course endeavour to ship your item as soon as I possibly can.

This product is tracked, signed for and sent via special delivery post. All products come with protective packing and a gift box to ensure your item reaches you in a pristine condition.
