Vintage Christmas Santas on Seesaw MCM collection midcentury

These adorable Santas are celebrating Christmas on a seesaw! They look like salt and pepper shakers with the wire seesaw being a napkin holder…but they are not, they are figurines. I'm not sure if there is an actual utilitarian use collection for them; what I am sure about is that they are really cute. And different.

One Santa is waving and happy and the other looks a little dismayed. Perhaps the reindeer were acting rowdy again.

They are cute displayed on the teeter totter amongst Christmas decorations and they also display quite nicely on their own—I included pics of both.

Both Santas have a shallow chip on his mustache and there are some touch ups.

One has a Japan sticker. Santas are about 2 3/4 inches tall; the seesaw measures 2 3/4 inches tall and 7 inches long.
