Vintage circa 1948-1953 collection Les White Dodge Plymouth advertising bronze Gold Miner, Los Angeles Car Dealership

Hollow cast bronze statue of a Gold Miner panning with his pan reading "Les White Dodge Plymouth L.A." This is a rare piece of automobilia advertising first because I can find no other example and second pretty much anything with this dealership is pretty rare. It was located at 4925-27 So. Vermont Ave Los Angeles a few blocks south of USC. Newspaper advertisements are as early as 1948 with the latest mention I can find being 1953. I'm unsure what the connection to a Miner panning for gold as it relates to Dodge and Plymouth however. It's pretty cool though and measures about 4" square. It was made for Les White as the advertising on the pan is part of it and not just painted. collection
