The shawl is handmade in the wet felting technique and dyed in shades of red.
The silk is handpainted, using salt.

The wool comes from the Merinos sheep from New Zealand (24 micron) Wools with a fineness up to 25 micron are for most people suitable to wear on the skin. Thicker wool can itch and is therefore less suitable for some garments.

Care. Wash the shawl gently in lukewarm water with a special liquid detergent for wool.
[if you wash it in warm water, the item may shrink further]
Do not rub, do not soak and add a little vinegar to the final rinse water.
Squeeze the water collection out, [use a towel] and leave to dry.
