This is a huge pair of Virginia painted yellow pine finials, each with a double-step square base. Both have an old Spanish brown painted surface, which shows wear from being rubbed-- what child can resist holding a finial and swinging off the bottom step? The exposed pine has a worn patina. The last three photos were taken in natural light. One is 9 1/4" tall and collection the other is 9 3/4" and each has an 8 3/4" square base. These would be impressive on a long table. The overall condition is good with some minor losses and signs of expected wear. These came from a collector in Williamsburg, Va.
