Antique Beaded Silk Panel collection Art Deco Metallic Embroidery Net Lace 1920s-30s Fabulous

Here is a fabulous c. 1920's - '30's, Art Deco, hand embroidered/beaded black net and silk panel. This just arrived from the UK and it is simply smashing! Obviously salvaged from a a very old dress.

This panel still has it's original black silk attached on top. I left it on the piece. I am not sure if I photographed it right side up; but, you get the idea. I also placed some white paper behind it in a couple of photos so you can see the embroidery better.

The early plastic (but, they might be glass) beads are orange and salmon pink/pale orange colored. There are also embroidered black silk leaves with metallic highlights throughout and tiny black silk french knots.

The condition of this antique panel is excellent. collection There are a few beads missing (and one hanging) orange bead; but, it doesn't really bother me...you have to search for them and it's repairable. There are no holes in the netting that I see.

You are going to love this piece..it is period and very dramatic! Striking for a project that requires some spectacular and early bead work.

Size: 26 1/2" x 7" - (embroidery and beaded netlace panel only)...there is a 2" wide black strip on the bottom of the panel and a 7" wide black strip on the top that you can fold over to "line" the netlace should you wish.
