When Christmas comes each year, there's a whole host of Christmas plays beloved by all and reenacted in holiday plays and performances. Yet no Christmas play is as recognizable as A Christmas Carol.

Bob Cratchit first appeared as a supporting character of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Cratchit is the abused, underpaid clerk of Ebenezer Scrooge. He is the father of Timothy "Tiny Tim" Cratchit, the ill youngest child in the Cratchit household. Cratchit has come to symbolize poor working conditions, especially long working hours.

This children's Bob Cratchit costume is authentic to the Victorian-era fashion of the 1800s and the attire worn by the famous literary character we have included.
