A beautiful Tuxedo jacket from retailer Bloomingdale's. Black tropical weight worsted with Black satin shawl lapel. 'Bold' look with wide shoulders and tapered body. Accentuated sleeve heads. Bloomingdale's has(or had) a reputation for quality. They have been in business since 1861 and are now under the Macy's corporate umbrella. Their 1886 New York City flagship store at Lexington Ave. and 59th St. is still a consumer draw.

2 7/8" shawl lapel w/ boutonniere. Shoulder padded with puckered sleeve heads. Single button fastening. Un-darted 'sack' collection front. Jetted hip pockets, 2 1/8" flaps. Two (2) buttons per cuff. Fully lined in Black satin. Single, interior breast pocket with a tailor's tag and an Amalgamated Union label (1949 - 1962). Single center tail vent, 8 1/2" L.

Excellent condition. Appears to have seen very little wear. To be particular, there are a couple tiny marks on satin lapel and the tailors tag has had a portion removed.
