Early sixth plate collection daguerreotype of an older women in an over exposed bonnet. Full case. Identified.

Striking sixth plate daguerreotype of an older woman wearing a bonnet. The image is slightly overexposed turning her white bonnet blue- a beautiful though unintentional effect. No wipes, thick heavy glass. The glass, mat, silk pad and case are all in very good condition. The image clear with good contrast against a white background.

Identification card is printed on one side- "Mrs. John W. Janvier" and hand written on the verso "Mrs. John W. Janviere Grandmother Kean." The case is complete with a working clasp and completely intact spine.
