Description

Product Name: Havard Villedieu French vintage hammered copper planter with collection twisted wrought handles, stamped on base circa 1970s.

Havard Villedieu French vintage hammered copper planter with twisted wrought handles, stamped on base circa 1970s.

This copper planter is made by the legendary French coppersmith Havard, from collection Villedieu-les-Poêles in the North of France. Below the collar of the vase is finished in a 'martell' (hammered) finish. The ring handles are made of twisted wrought iron. On the base of the vase it is stamped with Villedieu, and the designers initials HE, and 'marque deposee' (registered trademark).

Condition:
The condition is very good, with a couple spots of tarnish on the copper. There is a little corrosion on one of the ring handles, but this has been waxed to protect it. This planter uncleaned, and has a natural patina of age.
