This beautiful shawl appears to be hand woven from ribbons. Not sure but I believe it's probably from around the 1960's or 70's. I've seen some call this type of weaving macrame. No labels to indicate fabric content but the ribbons have a smooth silky feel and a sheen. It measures 60" long X 31" W not including the 13"-14" fringe. This piece must have taken someone a very long time to make. It has a few condition issues. There are some small brown stains, 1 on the top edge, one near the bottom and a few on the fringe. The fringe is frayed on the ends. A few are crimped and twisted but none of these issues take away from this dramatic piece. I collection ship same or next business day.
